ONSHORE SURVEY
Our onshore services include coastal and inshore surveys and include dimensional and main survey control establishment, topographic surveys, underground facility surveys, construction surveys, hydrographic surveys and acquisition surveys.
Atlas GeoSolutions undertakes land surveys supervised by our registered surveyors with over 35 years of combined experience in carrying out cadastral, boundary, hydrographic, topographic and precise vertical/horizontal control surveys.
For onshore and coastal survey operations, GPS/RTK technology plays an important role. From simple ground control establishment through to large-scale topographic and acquisition surveys and GIS database establishment, our land survey teams are adequately equipped and highly specialized to deliver high quality data critical to every stage of your project.
Land survey services using GPS/RTK technology and conventional survey instruments are extended to deformation monitoring, accurate positioning of points (XYZ), setting out and construction survey. In addition, conventional land survey equipment such as total stations, levels, gyros electronic distance meters and theodolites are used for various other land survey and mapping applications.
To enhance data quality at all times, Atlas GeoSolutions has developed in-house several survey quality control routines and utilities in addition to proprietary land survey applications for use during data processing, quality checking and geo-visualization.
Environmental mapping surveys and natural resource mapping also form a segment of our onshore survey services, and include environmental index mapping (ESI).
Control Surveys
Atlas GeoSolutions carries out high-accuracy control surveys using the latest advancements in GPS technology to provide “basic control” or horizontal and vertical positions of points to which supplementary surveys are adjusted. Control or geodetic surveys are conducted in line with industry standards (FGCC Standards and Specification for Geodetic Control Networks) and qualified and experienced staff to provide geographic positions and plane coordinates of triangulation and traverse stations and the elevations of bench marks. These control points are further used as references for hydrographic surveys of the coastal waters; for topographic control; and for the control of many state, city, and private surveys.
Our control survey teams carry out high level (HL) and low level (LL) photogrammetric ground control point (GCPs) establishment and undertake data processing, quality checking and reporting using advanced software and utilities.
Topographic Surveys
Atlas GeoSolutions undertakes topographic surveys to obtain information about the natural and man-made features of the land as well as elevations. From the acquired data, three dimensional mapping is prepared either onsite or upon return from site in the office. To ensure data completeness and integrity, all topographic data is captured automatically and rigorous quality checks carried out by means of in-house and proprietary software.
Our topographic survey teams are experienced in carrying out works under the most trying of terrains and environments.
Route Surveys
Our land survey teams provide route surveys necessary for the location and construction of lines of transportation and communication such as pipelines, railroads, highways, open –conduit systems and power lines. We provide the initial topographic surveys necessary for the conception of the new project and subsequently locate and mark centerlines, determine elevations along and across the centreline (profiling), staking out extremities for cut and fill, computation of earthwork volume, determine drainage areas for culverts and ditches, layout of structures such as bridges and culverts and location of right of way boundaries.
